Cookies

Like many other websites, we also use so-called “cookies.” Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. This automatically provides us with certain data, such as your IP address, the browser you are using, your operating system, and your connection to the Internet.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transfer viruses to a computer. The information contained in cookies enables us to make navigation easier for you and to ensure that our web pages are displayed correctly.

Data is only shared with third parties where necessary to provide our services, as described in this policy.

Of course, you can also view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are usually set to accept cookies. In general, you can deactivate the use of cookies at any time via your browser settings. Please use the help functions of your Internet browser to find out how to change these settings. Please note that individual functions of our website may not work if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

Storage period and cookies used: If you allow us to use cookies through your browser settings or consent, the following cookies may be used on our websites.

If these cookies may (also) relate to personal data, we will inform you about this in the following sections.

You can delete individual cookies or the entire cookie inventory via your browser settings. In addition, you will receive information and instructions on how to delete these cookies or block their storage in advance. Depending on the provider of your browser, you will find the necessary information under the following links:

Personal Data

On our website, we offer you the opportunity to contact us by email and/or via a contact form. To do so, you must provide a valid email address and your name. This is used to assign the request and subsequently respond to it. In this case, the information provided by users is stored for the purpose of processing their contact request.

Download Access

To access certain downloadable content on this website, you may be asked to provide your email address.

  • Email Storage: Your email address is stored in our database to provide access to the download and to understand how our tools are used.
  • We store your email address only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, but no longer than 90 days after your last interaction with the download access.
  • Confirmation Email: We send a one-time confirmation email to verify your address. This email contains a unique link.
  • Cookie: After confirmation, a cookie is set in your browser to remember your access rights and avoid repeated email requests.
  • Newsletter Integration: If you subscribe to our newsletter, your data will be transferred to Mailchimp, which processes data on our behalf. Appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers. You can withdraw your consent at any time, e.g. via the unsubscribe link in any email.

The processing of your data to provide access to the download is based on our legitimate interest. If you subscribe to our newsletter, the processing is based on your consent.

Third-party services

We use third-party services—including those based abroad, including in the United States of America (USA)—to provide our services in an effective, user-friendly, durable, secure, and reliable manner. Such services require your Internet Protocol (IP) address, as otherwise the relevant content cannot be delivered.

Third-party services might be used on this website:

  • SSL encryption certificate
  • Cloudflare Turnstile
  • Vimeo (for embedding video examples)
  • LinkedIn (button)
  • Instagram (button)

When using Google Maps, your IP address may be transmitted to Google servers, including in the USA.

Newsletter data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we need your email address and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information.

You can revoke your consent to the storage of data, your email address, and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the “Unsubscribe” link in the newsletter.

Registration for our newsletter takes place in a so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after registering, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that no one can register with someone else’s email address.

Newsletter registrations are logged in order to be able to verify the registration process in accordance with legal requirements. This includes storing the time of registration and confirmation, as well as the IP address. Changes to your data stored with MailChimp are also logged.

Use of the mailing service provider “MailChimp”

The newsletter is sent using “MailChimp,” a newsletter mailing platform provided by the US company Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.
